About — Ranxi Wang

Ranxi Wang is a 16-year-old contemporary pianist and vocalist from China whose musical background spans classical piano, vocal performance, jazz improvisation, Pop, R&B, and Neo-Soul.

Ranxi began her musical training in classical piano, developing an early foundation in technique, touch, harmony, and musical structure. In 2021, she entered the Affiliated Middle School of Shenyang Conservatory of Music as a piano student, where systematic conservatory training further strengthened her technique, tonal control, and musical understanding. Her international competition experience and 2024 solo piano recital further shaped the discipline and musical sensitivity that continue to ground her playing today.

In 2024, Ranxi entered the Affiliated Arts High School of Sichuan Conservatory of Music as the top-ranked vocal student. Voice became a meaningful second musical language, deepening her understanding of breath, phrasing, expression, and storytelling while opening new paths into contemporary music.

Today, Ranxi is bringing these musical experiences together through improvisation, contemporary harmony, jazz-influenced voicings, and modern grooves, while beginning to explore songwriting and music production. She is developing a piano-centered artistic voice informed by a singer’s instinct for breath and phrasing, with an emerging direction at the intersection of piano, voice, Pop, R&B, and Neo-Soul, where the piano becomes not simply an instrument, but a storyteller.
